Illinois State Leads Youngstown State, 33-30, After Third Quarter

NORMAL, Ill. - At the end of the third quarter, Illinois State leads Youngstown State, 33-30, on Family Day at Hancock Stadium.

Youngstown State was the first to score in the third quarter with a four-yard touchdown run by Kamryn Keys. Youngstown State did not make the extra point, bringing the score to 30-25. In the Redbirds' next possession, Kevin Brockway connected with Kelvin Chandler on the 46-yard pass, but the drive stalled and ended with a missed field goal keeping the Redbirds down by five. However, the Redbirds came back in their next offensive drive resulting in a 24-yard touchdown from Brockway to Salem. The Redbirds then scored on a two-point conversion after Brockway again connected with Salem in the end zone to regain the lead, 33-30.
