Glenn Named CFL Offensive Player of the Week

Hamilton, Ontario - Former Illinois State and current Hamilton Tiger-Cats quarterback Kevin Glenn has been named the Canadian Football League's Offensive Player of the Week by the after his outstanding performance in a three-point loss against the Montreal Alouettes last week.

Glenn threw for 506 yards and three touchdowns against the Alouettes' top-ranked defense, establishing a new career high for single-game passing yards which ranks 27th on the CFL's all-time yardage list. With that performance, Glenn also became the first player to throw for more than 500 yards in a CFL game since Jason Maas threw for 540 yards in 2004 with the Edmonton Eskimos.

This season, Glenn has completed 163 of 273 pass attempts for 2,202 yards and 15 touchdowns while splitting time with Quinton Porter at quarterback for the Tiger-Cats.

Glenn has had a stellar nine-year career in the CFL, including a breakout 2007 season that saw him lead the CFL in passing yardage (5,114), pass completions (388) and pass attempts (621) on way to being named the East Division's Most Outstanding Player. In all, Glenn has thrown for over 22,500 yards and 124 touchdowns with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Tiger-Cats since starring for the Redbirds from 1997-2000.
