NORMAL, Ill. - Winners of two straight games, the Illinois State football team will be looking to extend its winning streak to three Saturday against in-state rival Western Illinois on Family Day at Hancock Stadium. Head coach Brock Spack will preview the showdown with the Leathernecks and will look back on last week's road win at Missouri State at the Brock Spack Show tonight live from Schooner's at 6 p.m.
Co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz will interact with Spack during the hour-long show and will also talk with senior punter Kevin Mazur. The Mt. Prospect, Ill., native is in his first season as the full-time punter for the Redbirds after spending his first three seasons as a placekicker. Mazur is averaging 38.1 yards per punt and has pinned opposing offenses inside their own 20 yard line eight times this season. He was named the Missouri Valley Football Conference Special Teams Players of the Week after averaging 41.8 yards per punt in the come-from-behind victory at North Dakota State (Oct. 3).
Schooner's is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington and sits just off the corner Grove and Clinton Street. If the show can't be seen live, it is available on WJBC-AM 1230, or GoRedbirds.com.
