Redbird Football Signing Day Party Scheduled

NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State head football coach Brock Spack will publicly announce the 2009 Redbird football recruiting class at a party scheduled for 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, in the team meeting room of the Kaufman Football Building on the Illinois State University campus.

Spack will provide commentary and insight on each of the Redbird prospects during a media conference that is scheduled to begin at 12:15 p.m. Following the media conference, Spack will take part in a live radio interview with WJBC-AM 1230 at 12:40 p.m.

In addition to the commentary and insight on each recruit, highlight videos of each Illinois State signee will be shown during the event. Spack and members of the Illinois State football coaching staff will provide additional commentary on each recruit as his highlight video is being shown.

The event itself is free, but lunch is available for $3 per person, which includes a half gondola from Avanti's, a bag of potato chips and a soft drink.

Prior to the event, GoRedbirds.com will provide live and up-to-date signing day coverage for the fourth-straight year. As each National Letter of Intent (NLI) is certified by the Illinois State Athletics Compliance Office, biographies of each ISU recruit will be updated on GoRedbirds.com. In addition, for Redbird All-Access members, highlight videos of each signee will also be available to view, along with video interviews with ISU offensive coordinator Steve Farmer and defensive coordinator Phil Elmassian, who will talk about each Redbird recruit.
