"We had a beautiful day, the conditions could not have been any better," said Illinois State assistant coach Jeff Bovee. "I think that the team had fun and were relaxed. Coach (Tim) Thompson and I really felt like they were just having a good time and wanted to go out and take advantage of a good opportunity here at Western Illinois. They had good energy and there are a lot of good things that we can take away from this weekend. I think that we are going to continue to get better, the momentum is on our side."

On the track senior Kim Smudde won the 800-meter run with a season-best performance turning in a time of 2:15.61.
