NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State football head coach Brock Spack will give his insights on his team's season finale against Eastern Illinois and will recap last week's game against Youngstown State at noon at his weekly press conference at the Kaufman Football Building.
Coach Spack will be joined at the weekly luncheon by junior wide receiver Marcus King and sophomore linebacker Mike Zimmer.
King was named the Missouri Valley Football Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, after he blocked his second punt of the season that was returned for a touchdown against the Penguins. King also recorded a tackle on special teams for the Redbirds and caught 13-yard touchdown pass from Matt Brown on offense to cap off a solid day.
Zimmer posted a new career-high with 13 tackles, including a career-high eight solo tackles, in the victory over the Penguins. Zimmer, who has returned to the starting lineup at the outside linebacker position, also recorded a sack and a tackle-for-loss and forced a fumble to highlight his effort against YSU.
