Red-White Football Scrimmage Slated for April 24

NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State football team will hold its annual Red-White Scrimmage at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at Hancock Stadium. The scrimmage is free and open to the public and will conclude the Redbirds' 15-practice spring workout session.

Additional information on promotional events surrounding ISU's Red-White Scrimmage will be released at a later date.

The Redbirds are set to open their spring practice season Wednesday, March 31, with practices running every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday through the Red-White Scrimmage April 24.

Complete practice reports, photo galleries and video interviews with Illinois State football student-athletes and coaches will be available on GoRedbirds.com throughout the Redbirds' spring practice season.

Illinois State will open the 2010 season at home against Central Missouri on Thursday, Sept. 2, at 6:30 p.m.
