Hancock Stadium Tailgating Policy Revised

NORMAL, Ill. - Updated Illinois State University tailgating procedures were released by the ISU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, ISU Police Department and ISU Parking and Transportation Services Friday, which will take effect immediately.

The changes to the past policy include the tailgating lots opening at 7 a.m., instead of 8 a.m. The only exception will be the season-opening game against Central Missouri on Sept. 2. Since that game is on a Thursday, the tailgating lots will open up at 3:30 p.m., for the 6:30 p.m. kickoff.

At each of the Main Street tailgate pay lots (F-83, G-83 and G-73) there will be a charge of $10 for each car/tailgate space, and $20 per each recreational vehicle (RV). The one car/tailgate per space policy will still be strictly enforced. In order for RVs to be admitted into the U-High lot, the vehicles must arrive at least three hours before kickoff. Late arriving RVs will be redirected to the parking lot at the John Green Building (G-93) and no overnight parking will be allowed for RVs in the Main Street lots.

In addition, tailgating will be stopped in all pay lots at the end of the first quarter. Tailgating may resume at the end of each game.
