NORMAL, Ill. - After a long offseason of training and getting stronger, the Illinois State football team will take the field Tuesday, March, 22, for the first of 15 practices during the spring workout session. Training camp will officially begin when ISU head coach Brock Spack speaks to the media at the annual spring camp press luncheon at noon at the Kaufman Football Building.
Offensive coordinator Luke Huard and defensive coordinator Steve Szabo will also speak at the luncheon about their respective sides of the ball and what they expect to see out of their players during the spring workouts.
ISU is scheduled to practice every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday through April 23. The Tuesday and Thursday practices are scheduled to begin at approximately 3:30 p.m. and the Saturday workouts will begin at 10 a.m. at Hancock Stadium. All practices are open to the public, except for the practices on April 9 and 16 which will be closed team scrimmages.
Spring training camp will culminate with the annual Red-White Scrimmage on Saturday, April 23, beginning at 1 p.m. at Hancock Stadium. The scrimmage is open to the public and will be broadcast live on WJBC AM 1230 and 93.7 FM, with Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz calling all the action.

The video will also be archived following the completion of the press conference and can then be viewed on demand.
