NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State football fans will have a chance to be a part of the team's annual media day festivities August 8, when the Illinois State Athletics Department hosts its first Social Media Day live on GoRedbirds.com.
Social Media Day will begin at 10 a.m., live from the balcony of the Kaufman Football Building inside Hancock Stadium. While Redbird players and coaches conduct interviews with local media outlets on the field, select players and head coach Brock Spack will join moderator John Twork to answer questions from family, friends, fans and classmates.
Redbird fans will have the chance to talk to some of their favorite players and coach Spack through the help of the department's various social media platforms. Fans can submit questions via the university's official Twitter and Facebook accounts or through the CoveritLive blog. Interested fans can also email questions beforehand to redbirdallaccess@gmail.com. If using Twitter, include #ISUATH to make sure your question or comment is a part of the conversation.
All questions will then be answered by the players and coach Spack through a live video feed, which can be accessed through the same screen on GoRedbirds.com the day of the event. Redbird players report to campus Thursday, Aug. 4, and will begin fall workouts Friday, Aug. 5, at 7 p.m. at Hancock Stadium.
