NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State head football coach Brock Spack and ISU head volleyball coach Melissa Myers will hold a joint press conference Tuesday in the Kaufman Football Building. Fans can watch both coaches' press conferences live on RedbirdHD.tv.
Spack's press conference will begin at 12 p.m. The ISU football team (5-0, 2-0 MVFC) had to rally for a come-from-behind victory at Indiana State on Saturday, but secured the win with a 20-yard field goal from Nick Aussieker with three seconds remaining in the contest. The Redbirds climbed to No. 9 in the FCS Coaches Poll and No. 10 in The Sports Network FCS Top 25 poll on Monday and remain as one of only five unbeaten FCS teams. The Redbirds are back on the road this Saturday, Oct. 18, at Western Illinois. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
Myers will be joined by senior setter Kaitlyn Early in Tuesday's press conference, which will begin at approximately 12:15 p.m. The ISU volleyball team (13-5, 7-0 MVC) scored a pair of league wins over the weekend, securing straight-set victories at Bradley and Loyola. ISU has won nine-consecutive matches, dating back to Sept. 12, and hasn't lost a set in its past four matches. The Redbirds will play host to Northern Iowa in a battle of MVC co-leaders on Friday, Oct. 17, in a match to decide the outright conference leader. The Redbirds also host Drake on Saturday, Oct. 18. Both matches start at 7 p.m.
