The Redbirds (11-1, 7-1 MVFC) won in impressive fashion at home against the Panthers last weekend to extend their home winning streak to 13 games.  Saturday's game will be a rematch of the 2012 FCS quarterfinal game at Eastern Washington, where the Eagles came away with a 51-35 victory over the Redbirds.  A total of 17 players and six starters from that 2012 game return in 2014 for the Redbirds.

Eastern Washington (11-2, 7-1 Big Sky) advanced with a 37-20 victory over Big Sky foe Montana last Saturday at "The Inferno," and improved their record at home to 31-4 all-time and 8-2 in the playoffs. The Eagles won the turnover battle 3-1, and turned a pair of Grizzly turnovers into 10 points in the second half on way to the second-round victory. Eastern is in the playoffs for the 11th time, including its eighth time in the last 11 seasons.

Coach Spack will talk with co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz, and will be joined by junior quarterback Tre Roberson as this week's player guest.  The 2014 MVFC Newcomer of the Year and All-MVFC First-Team selection threw for 382 yards and tied a career best with four touchdown passes against UNI to help the Redbirds advance to the quarterfinals of the FCS Playoffs for the second time in three seasons. In his last two contests, Roberson has thrown for 701 yards and seven touchdowns with no interceptions, and has rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown for the Redbirds.

Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington, and sits just off the corner of Grove and Clinton Streets. For those who can't make it out to Schooners to watch the show live, it will be broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM in the Twin Cities and streamed live on GoRedbirds.com.
