NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's basketball team will take part in the National Girls and Women in Sports Day at its Missouri Valley Conference opener on Sunday, Jan. 4, against in-state rival Southern Illinois. Tip-off is at 2 p.m. The PIT- Performance Sports Training at Four Seasons Health Club is sponsoring the game and a pre-game event for girls of all ages.
The pre-game event will be held on the Redbird Arena concourse with hands on active events, promoting sports involvement, physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. Stations will include the Redbird gymnastics team, WERQ dance, Yoga, and the PIT classes by Four Seasons Health Club, and Jump for Joy jump rope ministry. The pre-game event is free with a ticket to the game.
The PIT and Four Seasons Health Club will also give away a free registration to an ISU women's basketball summer camp. Visit the PIT table at the game to sign up to win. A winner will be selected during the game.
