Illinois State (5-9) fell, 4-1, to Troy (6-13), Saturday at day two of the Middle Tennessee Shootout. The Redbirds will wrap up play tomorrow against MVC-foe Southern Illinois at 10:30 a.m.
Victories by Urh Kranjc Domiter and the No. 1 doubles partners Jakub Eisner and Rolando Torrellas highlighted a tough second day at the MTS shootout.
Domiter defeated Pablo Moreno, 6-5, 6-5, while No. 1 doubles partners Eisner and Torrellas edged Gabriel Sciacca Dias and Moreno, 6-5.
"Today was frustrating in losing another match that was for the taking," head coach Mark Klysner said. "We just haven't been consistent up and down the lineup and it hurt us today."
