NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State softball team will make up two of the three previously postponed games against Drake with a doubleheader at Marian Kneer Stadium on Monday, April 28. Game one will begin at 3 p.m., CST. The third game of the series will not be made up.
The Redbirds and Bulldogs were originally slated to begin Missouri Valley Conference play at Marian Kneer Stadium, March 15-16. Unplayable field conditions forced the contests to be moved to the Corn Crib in Normal, but winter weather conditions resulted in the games to be postponed.
ISU has won its first four MVC series, after taking two of three at Loyola last weekend. The Redbirds will play a doubleheader at Bradley, Wednesday, before returning home for a three-game set against Evansville this weekend.
