NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State football head coach Brock Spack and the Redbirds will open the 2014 regular season with a matchup Saturday at home against Mississippi Valley State. Spack will talk about the upcoming game against the Delta Devils on Thursday night at The Brock Spack Show, live from Schooners beginning at 6 p.m.
Coach Spack will talk with co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz and will be joined by senior safety and team captain Dontae McCoy as this week's player guest. McCoy was a 2013 All-Missouri Valley Football Conference Honorable Mention selection at safety and started all 11 games. He ranked fourth on the team with a career-high 63 tackles, including 43 solo stops, and returned first career interception 64 yards for a touchdown in the season finale at Southern Illinois.
Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington, and sits just off the corner of Grove and Clinton Streets. For those who can't make it out to Schooners to watch the show live, it will be broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM in the Twin Cities and streamed live on GoRedbirds.com.
