The No. 2-seeded Illinois State football team (9-2, 7-1 MVFC) will face Missouri Valley Football Conference foe Western Illinois (7-5, 5-3) Saturday in an FCS second-round playoff game at 1 p.m. at Hancock Stadium.
Illinois State carries an 18-game home winning streak into Saturday's game, which is the longest active home winning streak in FCS football. The Redbirds had an opening-round bye in the FCS playoffs.
Western Illinois enters Saturday's game fresh off an FCS playoffs opening-round win over Dayton, as the Leathernecks scored a 24-7 win over the Flyers Saturday in Dayton, Ohio.
Illinois State won the most recent meeting with Western Illinois, 48-24, on Oct. 24 at Hancock Stadium.
