NORMAL, Ill. – No. 2 ranked Illinois State begins the month of November on the road against another nationally-ranked foe, when the Redbirds travel to Brookings, S.D. this Saturday to face No. 11 South Dakota State.  ISU head coach Brock Spack will preview the game against the Jackrabbits at The Brock Spack Show on Thursday, Nov. 5, which airs live from Schooners on WJBC 1230-AM from 6-7 p.m.
The Brock Spack Show airs live every Thursday from 6-7 p.m., from Schooners in Bloomington. Â The final Brock Spack Show of the year will air on Wednesday, Nov. 18, to allow for a Thursday broadcast of Redbird men's basketball.
The Redbirds (7-1, 5-0 MVFC), ranked No. 2 in the most recent STATS FCS Poll, are winners of seven-straight games and sit alone at the top of the Missouri Valley Football Conference standings. ISU had to come from behind and scored 18 unanswered points to defeat No. 21 Indiana State last Saturday, while the Jackrabbits came away with a 39-0 win at Missouri State to improve to 6-2 on the season and 3-2 in MVFC action. Â
Coach Spack will talk with co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz, and will be joined by linebacker Alex Donnelly. The redshirt senior from Kirkland, Washington, has been a starter for the Redbirds for four seasons and currently has 45 tackles on the season. Â He will play in his 47th career game at Illinois State on Saturday against the Jackrabbits and will look to crack the top 20 in career tackles with just one stop.
Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington, and sits just off the corner of Grove and Clinton Streets. For those who can't make it out to Schooners to watch the show live, it will be broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM in the Twin Cities and streamed live on GoRedbirds.com.
