Playoff Edition Of The Brock Spack Show Airs Thursday

NORMAL, Ill. – For the second-straight year and the third time in the past four seasons, the Illinois State football team has advanced to the FCS Playoffs and will host a second-round contest against in-state rival Western Illinois Saturday at Hancock Stadium.  ISU head coach Brock Spack will preview the game against the Leathernecks during a playoff edition of The Brock Spack Show on Thursday, Dec. 3, which airs live from Schooners on WJBC 1230-AM from 6-7 p.m.

The Redbirds (9-2, 7-1 MVFC) earned the No. 2 overall seed in the FCS playoffs and received a first-round bye.  They will host fellow Missouri Valley Football Conference and in-state rival Western Illinois (7-5, 5-3 MVFC) in a rematch at Hancock Stadium at 1 p.m.  The Leathernecks advanced to the second round following a 24-7 defeat of Dayton in a first-round matchup last Saturday.  The winner advances to the quarterfinals and will face winner of the Richmond and William & Mary contest.

Coach Spack will talk with co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz, and will be joined by junior linebacker Brent Spack.  The Normal Community High School product has been a consistent contributor for the Redbirds for the past three seasons and has 22 tackles so far in 2015 to his credit.

Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington, and sits just off the corner of Grove and Clinton Streets. For those who can't make it out to Schooners to watch the show live, it will be broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM in the Twin Cities and streamed live on GoRedbirds.com.
