NORMAL, Ill.  – The fifth Redbird Basketball Coaches Shows of the 2014-15 season will air tonight, live from the Pub II in Normal, Illinois. Fans can listen live on GoRedbirds.com, as Barb Smith and Dan Muller preview the Redbirds' games this week, including two home games for the women and a road game for the men, followed by a home contest.
The Barb Smith Show, hosted by Zach Dietmeier, starts out the night at 6 p.m. Coach Smith will be joined by junior guard Lindsay Smith. The Redbirds return to Doug Collins Court for its final homestand of the regular season, as they welcome Wichita State Friday at 7 p.m., before hosting Missouri State Sunday at 2 p.m. Smith is working her way back to game speed after sitting out most of the season due to injury. At Evansville Sunday, the Dewitt, Iowa, native dished out a career-high six assists. Over six games, Smith has led the Redbirds in assists four times.Â
The Dan Muller Show follows at 7 p.m., hosted by Dick Luedke and Mike Matthews. There won't be a player guest at the show due to practice. The men's team looks to get back to its winning ways after falling to No. 12 Northern Iowa and No. 13 Wichita State last week. The Redbirds travel to Peoria, Illinois, to take on Bradley Wednesday at 8 p.m., before hosting Loyola Saturday at 7 p.m. Both games can be seen on Comcast SportsNet Chicago.
For those not able to attend the show in person, it will be broadcast live on WJBC and on GoRedbirds.com.
