NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's tennis team travels to Galesburg, Illinois, to compete against Western Illinois this Sunday, March 1, beginning at 10 a.m.
"We are going into this match after an intense week of practice," said head coach Maja Kovacek. "We have to have great focus and play with confidence."
Western Illinois holds an 0-8 overall record after suffering losses to Lewis, Cardinal Stritch, Saint Louis, Northern Iowa, Milwaukee, SIUE, South Dakota, and Augustana. ISU is 2-5 after claiming victory over Butler and Indianapolis, and suffering defeats by No. 46 Illinois, IPFW, Eastern Illinois, Wyoming and Nebraska.
