NORMAL, Ill. – Junior Kadi Ilves was one of 10 Missouri Valley Conference student-athletes named to the MVC Women's Tennis Scholar-Athlete Team Thursday night.
A five-time AFNI Honor Roll selection, Ilves holds a 4.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) in renewable energy. Ilves has led the Redbirds this season, earning 12 wins in No. 1 singles competition. She has competed equally hard in doubles play with partner freshman Donna Haycock, claiming eight victories overall.
Ilves and the Redbirds begin the MVC Championships by battling No. 1 seed Wichita State, Friday, April 24, beginning at 10 a.m. in Evansville, Indiana.
