NORMAL, Ill. – At least 19 Illinois State men's basketball games and 17 women's hoops contests will be shown live on the ESPN family of networks throughout the upcoming 2015-16 season, as announced by ISU and the Missouri Valley Conference Wednesday.
The Redbird men's basketball team is scheduled to appear nationally on ESPN2 at least three times, including when the Redbirds travel to Kentucky (Nov. 30) and when ISU hosts Evansville (Jan. 15) and Wichita State (Feb. 6). Illinois State's regular-season finale at Wichita State (Feb. 27) will also air nationally on ESPN, ESPN2 or CBS Sports Network. Either ESPNU or ESPN3 will broadcast ISU's home game versus Bradley (Feb. 14).
Viewers can watch the Redbird men on ESPN3 at least 14 times, including when Illinois State opens up the 2015-16 season at San Diego State (Nov. 13). ISU women's basketball can be seen live on ESPN3 at least 18 times, including a broadcast of the Redbirds' Dec. 13 matchup with Northern Illinois at the iWireless Center in Moline, Illinois.
ESPN3 is slated to stream opening-round and quarterfinal contests at the State Farm MVC Men's Basketball Tournament (March 3-4). All nine MVC Women's Basketball Tournament games, from the opening round to the title game, will also be broadcast live on ESPN3 (March 10-13).
Many of Illinois State's televised games are part of the Missouri Valley Conference's 115-live event package with the ESPN Networks. The Valley is beginning the second year of a 10-year agreement with ESPN.
