NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's basketball team excelled in the classroom during the fall semester, as three players posted perfect 4.0 grade-point averages (GPAs), while eight players earned AFNI Academic Honor Roll status.
Katrina Beck, Kalyn Gebhardt and Morgan Radtke all earned perfect 4.0 GPAs during the fall semester. The trio was joined on the AFNI Academic Honor Roll, which recognizes student-athletes earning a 3.0 GPA or better during a given semester, by five of their teammates: Viria Livingston, Colleene Smith, Millie Stevens, Taylor Stewart and Lexie Taylor.
The Redbirds posted a combined team GPA of 3.32 during the fall semester.
The Illinois State women's basketball team has started the 2015-16 season at 3-11, with a 1-2 mark in Missouri Valley Conference play. The Redbirds are back in action this weekend, with games Friday (Jan. 15) at Northern Iowa and Sunday (Jan. 17) at Drake.
