NORMAL, Ill. – The Redbird Basketball Coaches Shows, featuring women's coach Barb Smith and men's coach Dan Muller, will air tonight, live from Pub II in Normal, Illinois. Fans can listen live on WJBC 1230-AM or GoRedbirds.com, as Smith and Muller preview their respective Missouri Valley Conference games this week.
The Barb Smith Show, hosted by Tim Lewis, starts out the night at 6 p.m. Smith will be joined by senior forward Colleene Smith. After three-straight road games, the women's team (3-13, 1-4 MVC) returns to Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena for back-to-back home contests against Bradley (Jan. 22) and Loyola (Jan. 24) for the annual PACK the Arena game. In Illinois State's most recent game at Drake (Jan. 17), Smith led ISU with 14 points, six rebounds and five steals.
The Dan Muller Show follows at 7 p.m., hosted by Dick Luedke and Mike Matthews. Muller will be joined by junior guard Paris Lee. The men's team (9-10, 3-3 MVC) plays game one of the I-74 Rivalry series Wednesday (Jan. 20) at Carver Arena in Peoria, Illinois, followed by a home game against Northern Iowa (Jan. 23) for the annual Taste of Redbirds event. Lee matched a game-high with 12 points plus four assists and three rebounds in ISU's most recent contest versus Evansville (Jan. 15).
Fans are invited to watch Monday's shows live at Pub II. However, for those unable to attend the show in person, it will be broadcast on WJBC 1230-AM and on GoRedbirds.com.
