WATCH: Signed On – Madison Williams
NORMAL, Ill. – Meet 6-foot-3, 170-pound freshman guard Madison Williams in this week's installment of Signed On: ISU Basketball Newcomers.
Williams averaged 13.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game as a senior in 2015-16 at the Academy of Richmond County in Augusta, Georgia. Williams shot 111-for-230 (48.3 percent) from the field and reached double figures in 17 games. He scored a season-high 32 points in a win over Effingham County (Feb. 17).
Williams averaged 15 points per game as a junior in 2014-15 at Augusta Christian in Martinez, Georgia, and for his efforts, he was named to the all-region team. As a sophomore, Williams helped Augusta Christian win the AAA SCISA state title, scoring a game-high 19 points in the Lions' semifinal game against Northwood. Williams earned all-region third-team accolades as a sophomore and also played for the Team Power AAU program.
