NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State men's tennis team will host its first and only home tournament of the fall season this Saturday and Sunday at the Gregory Street Tennis Courts. The tournament will feature players from Eastern Illinois, Illinois State, Marquette and Ohio Northwestern.
"I am very much looking forward to hosting a tournament this weekend and finishing the fall off on a good note," said head coach Mark Klysner. "We've had some good results throughout the fall, and I really wanted to keep the fall season going as late as possible. I think it'll be nice to be at home and figure out some last few things with the guys before we head into the spring."
Saturday play will begin at 11 a.m. and will consist of one round of doubles matches followed by two rounds of singles matches for each player. Sunday play will begin at 10 a.m. and will consist of two rounds of doubles matches followed by one round of singles matches. The tournament will be organized in a round-robin format and admission is free for all fans.
