NORMAL, Ill. – The Redbird Basketball Coaches Shows, featuring women's coach Barb Smith and men's coach Dan Muller, will air tonight, live from Pub II in Normal, Illinois. Fans can listen live on WJBC 1230-AM or GoRedbirds.com, as Smith and Muller preview their respective Missouri Valley Conference games this week.
The Barb Smith Show, hosted by Zach Dietmeier and Melanie Ward, starts out the night at 6 p.m. Smith will be joined by freshman forward Millie Stevens. The Redbirds (6-17, 4-8 MVC) embark on a two-game road trip to Loyola (Feb. 19) and Bradley (Feb. 21). Stevens is averaging 3.4 points and 2.5 rebounds per game this season.
The Dan Muller Show follows at 7 p.m., hosted by Dick Luedke and Mike Matthews. Muller will be joined by junior forward Nick Banyard. The men's team (16-11, 10-4 MVC) hosts Indiana State Wednesday at 7 p.m. before traveling to Northern Iowa (Feb. 20). This week's Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week, Banyard averaged 13.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in ISU's wins over Evansville (Feb. 11) and Bradley (Feb. 14).
