NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State diving team will travel to Chicago Saturday to compete at the Illinois-Chicago Diving Invitational. The meet is set to begin at 11 a.m.
The Redbirds will compete against Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Lake Forest, University of Chicago, Lincoln College, and host Illinois-Chicago.
The three divers competing this weekend are senior Kelly Sanks, junior Molly Schatz and sophomore Kristen Larson.
Illinois State head diving coach Phil Hoffmann looks forward to the diving-only invitational each season.
"It's a great chance for us to get that last tune-up before heading into the conference championships," said Hoffmann. "It is a great mixture of teams from all divisions of the NCAA."
The entire swimming and diving squad will compete next at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships in two weeks, Feb. 17-20, in Carbondale, Illinois.
