ANN HARBOR, MICH. – The Illinois State women's tennis team took two hard losses on Friday at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Regional, hosted by the Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
After advancing through to the third round of qualifying singles, Veronika Golanova came up short to Bowling Green's Marharita Tavpash, 6-1, 7-5, on Friday.
In doubles, Jelena Karla Vujicic and Golanova fell to Thisuri Molligoda and Evelyn Youel from Northern Illinois, 8-4.
The Redbirds return home to wrap up their fall slate, hosting the Redbird Duals Oct. 20 and 21 in Normal, Illinois.
