DETROIT, Mich. – The Illinois State men's tennis team fell, 7-0, at Detroit Saturday at the Franklin Athletic Club. The squad's record is now 4-6.
Detroit claimed the doubles point as Nathan Ponton and Artem Vashesnikov defeated Andreas Boers and Dylan Steffens, 6-4. Chance Conley and Kacper Stelmaszak defeated Egehan Sertkaya and Peter Foersom, 7-6. Patryk Koscielski and Adam Zychowicz won by default.
In singles play, Artem Vashesnikov defeated Steffens, 2-6, 6-4, 7-5. Patryk Koscielski defeated Boers, 6-3, 6-2. Nathan Ponton defeated Sertkaya, 6-3, 6-1. Kacper Stelmaszak defeated Foersom, 6-3, 6-3. Adam Zychowicz defeated Matias Chomali, 5-7, 6-1, 12-10. Chance Conley won by default.
