NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State men's tennis team will travel to South Carolina to compete in a doubleheader against The Citadel and College of Charleston March 14. Play times are to be determined.
The Citadel is currently 8-14 this season. The Bulldogs have beat Spartanburg Methodist twice, Benedict, USC Sumter, Lee University, Oglethorpe, Point and Emmanuel. So far, they have been defeated by Georgia Southern, Clemson University, NC State twice, South Carolina twice, No. 9 North Carolina, No. 1 Georgia Gwinnett, Coker, No. 14 Georgia Tech, Mercer twice and James Madison University twice.
College of Charleston is 7-4 this season after topping North Carolina Central, Queens, Bethune-Cookman, Florida A&M, Nicholls State, New Orleans and Lynchburg College. So far, they have fallen to Richmond, Virginia Tech, North Florida and Florida State.
