Sign Up Now To Participate In The Players Golf Outing

NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State Athletics' annual fundraiser golf outing, The Players, has been set for August 31-September 1 on the ISU campus and at the Weibring Golf Course.

The Players supports the Redbird Golf programs, the golf simulation room, expansion of The Jim and Carole Mounier Training Center and other enhancements to the Weibring Golf Club. The event allows current Redbirds to connect with friends of the program and provides former players the opportunity to support Redbird Golf. The Players Package is $395 and includes a cocktail party for two at the Hancock Stadium Club, a clinic with ISU legend D.A. Weibring prior to the 18-hole Shambles event, lunch, on-course beverages, a participant appreciation gift and an after-outing social including a cookout and beverages. Playing spots and sponsorship opportunities are available. 

The two-day celebration begins on Thursday, August 31, with The Players Cocktail Party from 6-9 p.m. at the Hancock Stadium Club. A carving station and heavy hors d'oeurves will be served, and an open bar. Entertainment will be provided by magician Michael Duseberg and ISU legends Weibring and Doug Collins will also be on hand for a question and answer session moderated by ISU alum and WGN Sports Director Dan Roan. Redbird Golf head coaches Ray Kralis and Darby Sligh will then speak about their teams, and feature highlights of their accomplishments. Additionally, two tickets to The Players Cocktail Party only are available for $150 at the registration link below.

The Players Golf Outing will take place the following afternoon on Friday, September 1, at the Weibring Golf Course.  Weibring will host a clinic for participants beginning at 11 a.m., and the 18-hole Shambles event will tee off at noon with a shotgun start.  Golfers will be treated to an onsite lunch, appreciation gifts, and an after-outing social including food, beverages and awards.
