Thursday Brings Another Edition Of The Brock Spack Show From Schooners

NORMAL, Ill. – The No. 7/8 ranked Redbird football team jumped back into the Top 10 of both national FCS polls this week, following a dominant 51-3 win over Southern Illinois on Homecoming last Saturday. ISU head coach Brock Spack will break down the big win against the Salukis and preview this week's matchup against No. 1 North Dakota State on Thursday at The Brock Spack Show, live from Schooners in Bloomington, beginning at 6 p.m.

Illinois State (5-1, 2-1 MVFC) ranks No. 7 in the most recent AFCA Coaches' Poll and No. 8 in the STATS FCS Top 25 Poll and sits near the top of the FCS in several categories. ISU boasts the fifth-best scoring defense in the country (12.0 points per game) and is third in team pass efficiency defense (94.10). The Redbirds also rank sixth in 3rd down conversion percentage defense (.269) and turnover margin (1.50), with the second-fewest turnovers lost in the FCS. The Bison (6-0, 3-0 MVFC) are equally stingy on defense and head into the game as one of only four FCS teams still undefeated in 2018. 

Coach Spack will talk with co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz and they will welcome senior offensive lineman Chad Kanugh to the show as this week's player guest. The Franklin, Wisconsin, native is slated to start his 24th consecutive game on the offensive front for the Redbirds when they take on the Bison in the Fargodome Saturday. Kanugh and the rest of his teammates on the offensive line had a dominant effort last week vs. SIU, as the Redbirds rushed for 409 rushing yards which was the the fifth-most in a game in school history. 

Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington, and sits just off the corner of Grove Street and Clinton Boulevard.
