Illinois State Men’s Basketball to Have Eight More Games on Regional Television in 2018-19

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – In addition to 11 nationally televised games, announced over the previous two days, Illinois State will have eight more games on broadcast television through FOX Sports Midwest and NBC Sports Chicago.

In all, 19 Redbird games will appear on broadcast television, in addition to all three games of the Cayman Island Classic being streamed on Stadium, via Facebook.

"The way that college basketball fans consume content is ever-changing, and its wonderful to have regional sports partners like FOX Sports Midwest and NBC Sports Chicago which cooperate to provide us with linear and digital distribution of our men's basketball games," said MVC commissioner Doug Elgin.

Among the newly announced games include three games via the FOX Sports Midwest/NBC Sports Chicago MVC package, four in Illinois State's package with NBC Sports Chicago, and a road game, also to be aired on NBC Sports Chicago.

FOX Sports Midwest/NBC Sports Chicago, along with Fox Sports Midwest's sister regional outlets, FOX Sports Indiana and FOX Sports Kansas City, will broadcast ISU's Jan. 5 home game against Evansville, its Jan. 23 game at Bradley, and the home finale against Missouri State on Feb. 27.

The Valley on ESPN - the league's co-branded digital distribution platform with ESPN via the ESPN app - will also distribute the productions outside of the two networks' combined six-state regional footprint of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. Telecasts shown within the FOX Sports Midwest distribution area will also be streamed on the FOX Sports app.

NBC Sports Chicago will also broadcast four additional Illinois State home games: the regular-season opener on Nov. 6 against Florida Gulf Coast, the Nov. 13 Tuesday night game against Chicago State, the Saturday, Dec. 8 game against Ole Miss, and the Tue., Jan. 8 game against UNI.

Redbird fans will also be able to watch the team's game at UIC on Dec. 5, as it also has been picked up by NBC Sports Chicago.

Each of Illinois State's games at the Cayman Island Classic will be broadcast through Stadium, the first 24/7 multi-platform sports network. This season is the first season the Cayman Islands Classic will be streamed on Facebook.
