NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State marketing department has announced that it will do a social media audition for the National Anthem singer for men's basketball's Dec. 8 game against Ole Miss, which has been dubbed "Social Media Night".
The only way to enter the contest is by submitting your video on social media. Any interested singer is asked to submit their entry to sing, by including a short video of them performing any song of their choosing in the comments section of this story on the Illinois State Athletics Facebook page. Fans can also tag @ISURedbirds on Twitter with their video performance if they prefer.
The contestant selected to perform the anthem will receive two complimentary tickets and a parking pass to the game.
The "Social Media Night" promotion is highlighted by a Dan Muller Bitmoji bobblehead giveaway to 1,000 lucky fans. Single-game tickets for this game and all other men's basketball games are on sale at GoRedbirds.com.
