Tickets on Sale for Insiders Club Luncheon Series with ISU Head Coach Dan Muller

NORMAL, Ill. – Tickets are available for two special luncheons featuring Illinois State head men's basketball coach Dan Muller.

The first luncheon is on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Hancock Stadium Club, and will also feature Ole Miss head men's basketball coach Kermit Davis. The second luncheon, which is also in the Hancock Stadium Club, is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 2, from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., and will feature Loyola Chicago head men's basketball coach Porter Moser.

Organized by the Illinois State Men's Basketball Insiders Club, the Muller Luncheon Series is being held in conjunction with the Dec. 8 game against Ole Miss, and the Feb. 2 game against Loyola Chicago, each game held at Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena. Muller and the coaches will share stories and field questions related to their experiences as college basketball coaches.

Luncheon tickets are available to the public on a limited basis for $60 each by contacting a Weisbecker Scholarship Fund representative at (309) 438-3803. A table of eight can also be booked for $450, or a table of four for $240.

The buffet menu for the Dec. 8 luncheon includes sauteed herb chicken, mixed green salad, herb roasted potatoes, steamed green beans and fresh baked dinner rolls. The menu for the Feb. 2 luncheon includes Italian meat lasagna, cheese stuffed shells, Caesar salad, steamed green beans and garlic toast.

Davis is in his first season at Ole Miss, after spending the previous 16 seasons as head coach at Middle Tennessee State. He had also served as head coach at Idaho (1988-90), Texas A&M (1990-91), and a second stint at Idaho. He has a 403-238 record as a Division I head coach, with five NCAA Tournament berths to his coaching credit.

Moser is in his eighth year as head coach of the Loyola Ramblers, and is coming off a season in which he guided the program to the NCAA Final Four and was named the MVC Coach of the Year. He had also made head coaching stints at Little Rock from 2000-2003, and at Illinois State from 2003-2007. He has a career record of 226-211 over his 14 years as a head coach.
