NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State men's tennis team heads to Des Moines, Iowa Feb. 16 and Feb. 17 for road matches against UAB and George Washington.
The Redbirds will take on UAB Friday at 2 p.m. and George Washington Saturday at 2 p.m.
In their last showing, Illinois State topped Wright State, 6-1, and Belmont, 4-3, at the Bloomington Tennis Center. The Birds are on a four-match winning streak and look to bring home their first win on the road this weekend.
UAB recorded 3-3 for the season and is on a three-match winning streak after downing North Alabama. George Washington fell by Temple in their last match-up and is 0-7 in the spring season.
The Redbirds will be back on their home court Feb. 23 through Feb. 25 for a full weekend of matches. The Birds will host respective matches Friday through Sunday against DePaul, UIC, and Creighton. Admission to all home matches is free.
