NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois States women's tennis team concluded the Spring Break trip with a 6-1 loss to Seattle.
One doubles team Veronika Golanova and Jana Kustkova were unable to finish against Michelle Lui and Kelli Woodman, and ended in a 4-3 score. Doubles duo Laura Fitzgerald and Estelle Vanthier were defeated by Hannah Gianan and Kyra Jung 6-0.
In the fight for two singles Kustkova defeated Gianan, 6-4, 6-3. At four singles Fitzgerald fell short to Woodman, 6-4, 7-5. Vanthier took her opponent to three sets in three singles, but fell short 3-6, 6-2, 10-8 to Jung. One singles Golanova was unable to finish the match due to injury and fell to Lui 3-0.
The Redbirds return home to prepare for a match up against Murray State on Wednesday with a start time of 10 a.m.
