NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State men's tennis team will travel to Denver, Colorado to matchup against Denver, Sunday March 4.
Play will begin at 1 p.m. CT for the first Summit League match of the season. The Redbirds look to improve their 8-3 dual season record. The Birds went 2-1 last weekend, shutting out UIC and Creighton, only falling to DePaul, 4-3.
Junior Igor Kolaric earned his Summit League Player of the Week recognition for his showing last weekend. Kolaric earned five wins, including three singles and two doubles victories.
Denver holds a 3-5 record in the spring. The Pioneers came up short against Nebraska, 4-3, in their last match.
The Redbirds will be back home Friday March 9 to host Eastern Illinois at 3 p.m. at the Bloomington Tennis Center. Admission to all home matches is free.
