NORMAL, Ill. – This year's Illinois State women's basketball Redbird Rally will be held at The Union at 525, a local bar/restaurant in downtown Moline, when the Redbirds head to the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Basketball Tournament, March 8-11.
The Rally will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, shortly before the No. 6-seed Redbirds take on No. 3-seed UNI at 8:30 p.m. at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline, Illinois.
The event is open to the public and free of charge. Complimentary food and drinks will also be served.
The Union at 525 is located at 525 14th Street in Moline and will be the official hangout location for the Redbirds throughout the entire weekend. The program will include Illinois State University President Larry Dietz, Director of Athletics Larry Lyons, Assistant Coach Scott Gillespie, Reggie Redbird and performances by Illinois State's band and cheerleading team.
