NORMAL, Ill. – Andreas Boers and Christoffer Greve received the prestigious honor of being named to the Summit League's Commissioner List of Academic Excellence, the conference announced Thursday.
In order to be selected for the award, student-athletes must carry a 3.5 cumulative GPA, use a year of eligibility and complete one academic year at their respective institution.
Additionally, the league recognized Team Academic Achievement Awards, based on the percentage of list-eligible student-athletes on the Commissioner's List. The Illinois State men's tennis team earned the honor, along with Omaha.
Seniors Greve and Boers have each been selected to the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete team twice, and both earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athlete recognition during the 2016-17 season. The pair were also named to the Summit League Academic Honor Roll earlier this week.
