CHEMNITZ, Germany - Illinois State rising sophomore Elijah Clarance scored a team-high 17 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, as the Swedish U20 National Team fell 85-71 to Italy in the first game of group play in the FIBA European Tournament.
Clarance made 5-of-16 shots from the field, 1-of-6 from long range, and 6-of-11 from the charity stripe. He dished out a team-high five assists, and tied for the team lead with seven rebounds, while grabbing two steals.
Sweden faces off against Iceland tomorrow (July 15).
