NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State football team finds itself at No. 15 in the FCS national polls, heading into Saturday's FBS matchup at Colorado State. ISU head coach Brock Spack will preview the big road game against the Rams Thursday night at Schooners at The Brock Spack Show presented by Bud Light beginning at 6 p.m.
Ranked No. 15 and No. 16 in the AFCA Coaches poll and the STATS FCS Top 25, respectively, the Redbirds (2-0) had a bye week after a win over Eastern Illinois and head to Fort Collins, Colorado, looking for victory against CSU. The Rams are off to a 1-3 start to the season, and have played an extremely challenging schedule that has featured Hawaii, Colorado and a pair of SEC programs in Arkansas and Florida.
Coach Spack will talk with co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz and welcome senior safety Mitchell Brees to the show as this week's player guest. The West Allis, Wisconsin, native recorded an interception in the season-opening win over Saint Xavier and has five tackles on the season in a pair of wins for the Redbirds.
Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington, and sits just off the corner of Grove Street and Clinton Boulevard. For those who can't make it out to Schooners to watch the show live, it will be broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM in the Twin Cities and streamed live on GoRedbirds.com.
