Come Out To The Brock Spack Show Thursday At Schooners

NORMAL, Ill. – Fresh off a convincing 35-19 win at Colorado State, the Illinois State football team will head to Springfield, Missouri, this weekend to open Missouri Valley Football Conference play against Missouri State. ISU head coach Brock Spack will preview the matchup against the Bears Thursday at The Brock Spack Show, live from Schooners in Bloomington, beginning at 6 p.m.

Ranked No. 9 in the STATS FCS Top 25 and No. 10 in the AFCA Coaches poll, The Redbirds (3-0) square off against the Bears (2-1) in the league lid-lifter for both squads. The Redbirds and the Bears will meet for the 39th time on the gridiron this weekend, with ISU leading the all-time series 21-16-1. The 'Birds have won the last four meetings against the Bears and seven of the last nine contests overall.

Coach Spack will talk with co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz and they will welcome senior tight end Tylor Petkovich to the show as this week's player guest. The St. John, Indiana, native recorded his second receiving touchdown of the season against the Rams, nearly being knocked out in the process after a vicious hit by the Rams. Petkovich will play in his 40th career game on Saturday at Missouri State, looking to help his team improve to 4-0 for the second-straight season.

Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington, and sits just off the corner of Grove Street and Clinton Boulevard.
