ST. LOUIS – Veronika Golanova and Tara Damnjanovic earned the MVC doubles team of the week the league announced Tuesday.
Golanova and Damnjanovic defeated IUPUI"s Ochalik/Lounsbury 7-6(5) at the No. 1 spot on Saturday, helping the 'Birds to a 4-3 victory.This is the first time two have competed as doubles partners and is also Damnjanovic's first dual match in her collegiate career. Additionally, Damnjanovic finished the weekend 2-0 overall, defeating Christine Stankovic 0-6, 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 1 singles spot.
