12 Redbirds Recognized as Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes

NORMAL, Ill. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced on Wednesday that 12 Illinois State softball players have earned Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete status.

Additionally, the Redbirds as a team turned in the 15th-best team grade-point average among NCAA Division I institutions during the 2018-19 school year.

To qualify for All-America status, a student-athlete had to finish the 2018-19 academic school year with at least a 3.5 GPA. A total of seven Redbirds finished with a 3.7 GPA or higher, while three student-athletes – Andrea Coursey, Emme Olson and Kenzie Pence – turned in perfect 4.0 GPAs this past school year.
