The Brock Spack Show Airs Thursday Live From Schooners

NORMAL, Ill. – The No. 6 ranked Illinois State football team will wrap up the regular season Saturday at Youngstown State. ISU head coach Brock Spack will preview the contest against the Penguins at The Brock Spack Show, presented by Bud Light, live from Schooners Thursday night in Bloomington beginning at 6 p.m.

A stout defensive effort from the Illinois State defense resulted in ISU picking up its eighth win of the season last week against Missouri State. The No. 6 Redbirds (8-3, 5-2 MVFC) will look to finish the season strong and boost their playoff seeding chances when they take on Youngstown State (5-6, 1-6 MVFC) at Stambaugh Stadium in the regular-season finale.

The Redbirds and Penguins will meet for the 29th time, with Illinois State holding a 15-13 advantage in the series that dates to 1979. ISU has won four of the last five contests overall, including a 35-28 victory over YSU in last year's regular season finale. The Redbirds have the last two games played between the squads in Youngstown and are 6-4 against the Penguins under
the leadership of Spack.

Co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz will also welcome senior offensive lineman Adam Solomon to the show as this week's player guest. The Indianapolis, Indiana, native and Illinois transfer has started every game on the offensive line for the Redbirds this season splitting time between tackle and guard.

Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington and sits just off the corner of Grove Street and Clinton Boulevard. For those who can't make it out to Schooners to watch the show live, it will be broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM in the Twin Cities and streamed live on GoRedbirds.com. Fans can also listen to the show via the TuneIn app by searching "Illinois St. Redbirds Sports Network."
