SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
The Truman State women's basketball team is coming off a historic year, as the program won a school-record 23 games last season and qualified for their fourth NCAA Division II national tournament. The squad is led by their lone senior, Sloane Totta, who averaged 11.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists while posting a team-high 33 steals during the 2018-19 campaign. 2018 GLVC Freshman of the Year Katie Jaseckas is also back, after averaging nine points and 5.7 rebounds in 30 games last season.

The Bulldogs most recently dropped their exhibition opener to Mizzou, 94-55, last Thursday night in Columbia, Mo. Freshman Hannah Belanger led Truman State in scoring with 15 points, all in the second half.

Interim head coach Theo Dean is in his first season at the helm of the Bulldogs, after having been part of the program in some capacity for nearly nine years. He was a student manager and graduate assistant from 2010-2014, then returned to Kirksville to become an assistant coach prior to the 2016-17 season.

LAST TIME OUT
Reigning Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Year TeTe Maggett recorded a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds in last week's home exhibition win over Lindenwood. Senior forward Lexi Wallen posted a team-high 21 points while redshirt freshman Mary Crompton went 4-of-8 from beyond the arc, finishing with 18 points on the night.
