NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State men's tennis team is set to host UIS and Eastern Illinois, Friday, Feb. 8 at the Bloomington Tennis Center, with matches beginning at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively.
"Friday is going to be another tough test for the guys as we are playing two drastically improved teams," head coach Mark Klysner said. "We have worked on a lot of specifics this week and look to implement them into the matches. I expect some good tennis from my boys."
The UIS Prairie Stars are 2-0 going into their match with Illinois State after defeating Saint Louis, 4-2.
The doubleheader will continue with a match against Eastern Illinois at 7 p.m. The Panthers improved their record to 3-2 overall, after collecting wins over Davenport and Purdue Northwest in their last showing.
The 'Birds are 5-1 on their home court, after finishing 3-1 last weekend.
Men's tennis returns to action as they wrap up the nine-game homestand on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. against Green Bay.
